Shipping Update # 1 Billion

Hello Paleontologists,
We hope that you are all doing well. It is a beautiful snowy day here in Toronto. And while I'm cozied up here with my update and a really hot cup of coffee, there are people out there getting their hands on Fossilis. So let's get to the reasons for this update.
US/Mexico Shipping
We have seen that some of you have received your games already. We are so incredibly happy for you. As mentioned in the last two updates, all games will not ship at the same time. They will ship over several days. PSI has told us, for some time now, that the final day of shipping from their warehouse is November 25th. So when they get back to the warehouse tomorrow, they still have 3 days of games shipping. If you have not received your game yet, please do not consider it an issue for at least another 3 weeks. If you do not have it by mid-December please contact us and we will look into it for you.
Canadian Shipping
Canadian shipping will begin this week. Games were scheduled to arrive at the warehouse last Wednesday, but there was a miscommunication between the freight company and the warehouse. But this isn't slowing anything down. I am sure once emails go out, we'll start hearing rumblings of fulfilment on the campaign page. I'm just as excited as you are, being that we didn't get our games yet either.
Spain/Spanish Games
GenX, our Spanish localization partners have begun fulfilment already. Some of you have even said that you have received fulfilment notifications. This is really exciting. Please keep in mind that these games will be going all over the world and will be coming from Spain. There is not a deadline for when the game will get to you. My guess is that if you haven't received your game within the next 4 weeks you should probably contact them. If you need replacements or want to inquire about your shipment in 4 weeks, email: [email protected].
UK/EU/Rest of Europe/India
While your games have been in the UK for weeks already, they have been having a hard time moving them out. GamesQuest's recent email said that they would begin shipping in two weeks. And that they were certain that they'd get most of you your games before Christmas. We apologize for the delay, but the UK is really having a tough time right now. For us, the safety of the people working at GamesQuest is the most important part of this puzzle. I encourage them to remain safe at all costs. We will continue to update you on fulfilment to your country.
Rest of the World
Games to the rest of the world have shipped/are waiting for their HUB shipping to be ready. But because the shipping is so varied, I would suggest waiting another while before you worry that your game is not going to arrive.
Extra Pieces
We did some forward thinking with this game. The bones are really tiny, and could, perhaps, get lost. We have included some extra bones so that if you lose one or two over the use of the game, you won't have to contact us for replacements. The truth is, replacements are very costly in terms of money, but also environmentally. We are trying to reduce our carbon footprint as much as we can. So, don't set up the game with the extra pieces. Keep them just in case you lose them.
Replacement Parts
Looking at the number of people contacting us for replacements at this point, it looks like the factory has done a really phenomenal job packing the game. Oopsie!
China shipped extra Undiscovered Species to Canada rather than to the US. This means that 93 of you have received your games without your extra mini-expansions. Not to worry. Once we get our hands on them, we'll be sure to send them out to you ASAP. We really apologize for this oopsie.
Gaming With Ruel's LIVE Play-Through
Tomorrow night at 7pm EST, on the Board Game Spotlight Facebook group, Ruel Gaviola will be playing Creature Comforts. We've been waiting for this moment for a very long time. And we're so excited to share it with you. Because we don't have a link for you yet, you can find it from our own Facebook page here.
Fossilis Out in the World
Many of you have already been posting about Fossilis and this makes us jealous. We don't even have our games. We were so concerned about getting them out to you, we didn't even think about ourselves. Thank you all so much for sharing your photos and your thoughts on the game.

Another Shipping Update

Hello Paleontologists,
We've been waiting to hear from some of our partners before we could send out another update about shipping. Here are the things we know:
EU/UK/Other Europe/India
Backers whose games are coming from the UK are waiting on them from GamesQuest. GamesQuest had told us that they would begin fulfilment next week. This morning I woke up to an email from them telling me that the date they had given me was unrealistic and that they were going to push it back a week. Being that they are still open during these trying times, they are experiencing some of their workers getting sick and having to take off. That being said, they did say that it would take 5-7 days to complete fulfilment. So, they were certain that most of you would get your games before the holidays. We are very happy with this news!!
Canada
I spoke with Tyler from D6 today and he gave me some really great news. Your games are arriving at the warehouse. It will take them a few days to get organized and then they will begin shipping. This is the first time in my own history of fulfilment that I have been able to arrange to have the Canadian games shipped at the same time as the US games. I'm so excited! I hope you are as excited as I am.
USA/Mexico
As mentioned in previous updates, games will finish leaving the PSI warehouse on November 25th. So any time between now and then they will begin shipping. Yay!
AU/NZ
All of your games have shipped. I would wait a couple of weeks before we need to begin to worry if you haven't received yours game yet. I believe that they take longer to get to some remote areas, and to NZ.
Asia/RoW
All games that are not headed to a HUBs and are being shipped direct, have left VFI. Some games will not leave until a container to your region is full. See below for this information:
Since it has already been about two weeks already, you can take that time off of the above.

The Rapidly Changing Shipping Landscape

Hello Paleontologists,
We know that you are waiting with baited breath, and watching Fossilis roll out over Asia has been difficult for some, to say the least. We are all so excited to get our games. In this update I am going to give you some information about your regions' fulfillment schedules, as they have been given to me. Keep in mind, some countries are going into lockdown again, which means shipping times will vary from what we know now.
Worldwide Shipping Updates
Asia and Rest of the World
Your games have been dispatched. As mentioned earlier on, some games go to shipping HUBS in your region, and aren't going to leave VFI until they have a container filled. So, some games will take a lot longer than others. If you have already received your games, congratulations! You are the first in the world (even before us here at KTBG).
Australia/New Zealand
Aetherworks confirmed today that they have received your games. They will begin to process your packages ASAP. They will make an announcement about this on Facebook at 6pm Australian time November 4th.
UK, EU, Rest of Europe (not including Spanish Games), and Central America
Your games are just about at the Gamesquest warehouse. This morning I received a general update from them that despite the countrywide lockdown, they will remain open and dispatching games. I am waiting for confirmation from them when your games arrive. I will let you know.
Games Bound For India
We have worked out a way to get you your games quicker. They will no longer be leaving from VFI in China. Instead they will be leaving from Gamesquest in the UK and headed to India once fulfillment begins. We are happy that we have been able to work this out for you.
Worldwide Spanish Games
This morning I received information from GenX Games (the company that is going to be sending your games out to you). They will receive your games on November 15th, and plan to have them all leave by Black Friday. This means you should be receiving your games with the rest of the world.
Canada/US/Mexico
Your games are confirmed to arrive at the PSI warehouse this Thursday. As previously mentioned, the Canadian games will be sent out to our receiver in Canada before the US games are shipped. This still means that US games will be received before the Canadian ones, since there is an extra step for Canadian games. However, D6 is prepared with the backer report at the moment and will begin shipping ASAP. If your game is headed to Mexico, and is not part of the Spanish shipments, it will leave with the US games. US and Mexican game shipments will be finished by the 25th of November.

Hey Paleontologists,
While freight continues to head toward land, we've got some details about fulfillment for you. I would like to first say that I am still blown away by our amazing backers who, through all of this, have been so incredibly calm and patient. I know that you are excited to get your games, and we are excited for you. Thank you so much for being so wonderful through this whole wild process. Now, on to the good news.
Worldwide Shipping Update
Canada
Your games are almost at the Georgia port. They are slated to arrive on Oct. 28 (just 3 days after we said that they would - not bad at all). The usual course of action here is that they arrive a few days later to PSI. I have arranged for a very smooth transition. Your games will immediately leave the warehouse (the pallets have been pre-packed for Canada) and head toward the boarder. This should only take a few days. But who knows in this world we live in. Once they cross the boarder, they will head straight to the warehouse where they will have all of your information already and the shipping process will begin (picking and packing). I don't have an estimated fulfillment date because we won't know until the games actually land at the warehouse. Please stay tuned to future updates for this.
US/Mexico
As with the Canadian games, your games are almost at the Georgia port. They are slated to arrive on Oct. 28 (just 3 days after we said that they would - not bad at all). So you will most definitely have your games before the holiday season. I would bet that most of you (if not all of you) will actually get your games before Thanksgiving. What a wonderful treat.
Asia/Row
Your games are at the warehouse, and as of yesterday they have been picked and packed for shipments to HUBS (for some RoW packages) and within Asian. They are ready to go! Shipping commences this week. Yay!
AU/NZ
Your games have also arrived in Australia. I believe they are beginning to ship very soon. They asked if they could begin this week, but I haven't heard from them since. Fingers crossed that you will get your games within the next week or two.
EU/Europe
Your games are slated to arrive at port in the UK on October 28th, and will get to the GamesQuest warehouse on November 4th. By that time they will already have all of your info and will begin the process. They won't know what the final date for shipping will be until the games actually arrive. I am just guessing here, but I believe that your games will also be shipped by the end of November.

AU/AZ Freight and Fulfillment Dates

Hello Paleontologists!
I promised that I would write when I found out more info on freight and fulfillment, so here it is.
AU/NZ
Aetherworks confirmed today that we're in a good place for delivery to AU/NZ. The games will arrive in AU on the 24th of October and then travel to Aetherworks arriving at their warehouse on the 26th. This means that the games will likely deliver before or at the same time as the ones reaching the US and the UK/EU. Very exciting!!
US/Mexico
I will send an update when we get confirmation that your games have landed and are on their way to PSI. PSI is already processing your addresses. So they will be completely prepared when the games arrive. We will be sending out the large freight shipment to Canada before your games get packed and shipped so that we can try to coordinate as best we can for simultaneous shipping.
Canada
As mentioned above, your games will be sent by freight from the US to Canada before the US games start moving. We are doing this to get the games out to you as soon as possible. But please note that while we are working hard to get yours out ASAP, you will see your friends in the US getting them before you. We are doing our best to close the time gap between the two. Please know that we have your best interest at heart.
EU/UK/Rest of Europe
Your games are still scheduled to arrive at the end of the month. We will send an update to let you know when they get there.
China and RoW
Our friends at VFI are working through the backer report that I have sent them. They informed me that the following countries will take longer than usual, as they are sending them through HUBS: Saudi Arabia, Israel, Brazil, Kuwait, and United Arab Emirates. They have also informed us that fulfillment to India is on lockdown and will not take place until the country is receiving mail again.
